Hi, I’m Denís – Tour Guide at Discovery Pisa

I’m originally from Santiago de Compostela, Spain, where I graduated in History, and I’m proud to be an authorized tour guide for Pisa and its surrounding province. Since 2017, I’ve been guiding in four languages: Italian, English, Spanish, and Portuguese. This allows me to connect with a wide range of visitors, making sure everyone has a rich, informative, and enjoyable experience.

For me, guiding is about more than just showing the sights—it’s about answering the many “why?” questions that history and art raise. I love taking people on a journey into the minds of our ancestors, unraveling the mysteries of Pisa’s past. Of course, I do this with plenty of humor and dynamism, because I believe that learning and boredom should never go hand in hand!

In addition to guiding, I also work as a teacher at a local high school, so I’ve had extensive experience with all types of “audiences”—including children! This allows me to tailor my tours to different age groups, making sure everyone, young and old, gets something out of the experience.

I’m also an avid cyclist and often use my bike to explore the area. This means I know every corner of the Valdarno, from San Miniato to La Foce, and I love sharing the beauty of these areas with my tour groups.

I’m excited to guide you through Pisa’s history, art, and beauty—whether on foot or by bike!
